Something!
Thursday, August 28th, 2008Well, it’s been a million years since I’ve posted anything - but I’m going to try to change all that by, well… posting something.
A lot’s happened recently.
One thing to note is that the Ballet-bot was admitted into the Ballistic/Autodesk book, Elemental 3. It recieved the award of ‘excellence’ in the category of Robots/Cyborg.
There’s some absolutely cracking work in there so it truly is a privilege to have my little robot nestled among them.
In other news, I’ve moved 300 miles across the country!
In 2001 I left the Arts Institute of Bournemouth & was extremely fortunate to land a job with the excellent guys at Digital Progression. I’ve had a fantastic & productive time there but I started to feel the tickle of the 7 year itch.
So a couple of months ago I waved goobye to the sunny shores of Bournemouth & headed East to the picturesque city of Norwich!
In other news, I’m still ploughing through Animation Mentor & am nearing the last few weeks of Class 4. I haven’t posted any of my progress so far, as I had intended to document it all on a separate blog. It turns out that working all day, animating all night & desperately hanging on to the coat tails of a social life doesn’t leave a lot of free time…
Still, it’s been a fantastic experience & I’ve learned so much that there’s every chance my brain will collapse.
My apologies for the tedium of this self indulgent post, but in my defense I am fairly tedious & self indulgent!
